Ragazzi was born because of
friendship.
Jaime,
Miguel y
Pato met at the Vaselina Musical. In November of 1991 the three of
them and other artist friends, gave a Benefit Concert. Jaime already knew
Marlon and also knew that he played the bass, so he called him to join the
group.
David integrated last to the group via an audition. He fit in perfectly
because he played the drums, had a good voice, and above all, he had a nice
personality. All this happened at the end of 1991, between 1992 and 1995 they
dedicated to prepare their debut album,
Ragazzi. The idea was to form a quintet where various voices would come
together, where all the group members played a musical instrument and were able
to dance, but most importantly was that they shared the same way of thinking,
because for them, music is a friendship, their friendship. They were like no
other musical group, they were all able to sing, dance and play their respective
instruments all perfectly. Their debut
album, produced by Memo Gil and released in 1995, included songs like, Amarrado,
Baila,
Amiga Veneno, and their debut song,
Que va a ser de mi? They were nominated for 1995 best new artist/group with
Fey, and
Kabah. They
later released their second album,
Veneno in December of 1996. Veneno included three songs written by them,
and was also produced by Memo Gil under PolyGram Discos. After a yearlong tour
all over Mexico, Central America and the United States, Ragazzi said good-bye to
its name but not to the people nor to the love for music. After two years away
from the musical scene, Ragazzi reappeared in the sceneries as a new renovated
group,
El Circulo.
